[image:8085 left hspace=5 vspace=5 border=0]Sumthing Distribution, the company that inked a deal back in 2002 to market game soundtracks for Microsoft Game Studios, including the original Halo soundtrack, has a graphic on its front page promoting the Halo 2 soundtrack. It says it will be available on November 9; which is not remarkable since that's the release date for the game itself.
What is perhaps remarkable is the inclusion of the following artists on the list of those providing original music for that disc: Nile Rodgers, Incubus, Hoobastank, and Breaking Benjamin. Of course, having pop music on game soundtracks is nothing new in the industry, just something new for Bungie, should this turn out to be the case. The interesting name is Nile Rodgers, who is the founder of Sumthing Distribution and Sumthing Else Musicworks.
