Kudos to HWED, who pointed out the arrival of Bungie's C project, a revamping of Bungie's Events Calender. Using the Calender, people can now announce and plan events in advance without the hassle of bothering Yeroen about it (for which I'm sure he's thankful ;).
Already a few events are popping up... this should be an interesting page to keep an eye on. Tournaments, smaller events, and announcements together, and all with advance warning.
Papa Doom sends word that a new German Halo site, HaloNews.de, has just come online... not to be confused with HaloNews.Com. The German Halo community seems to be expanding fairly quickly, and I'm wondering if the verboten PC Action movie might have done more good than harm.
Well, it looks like our efforts at the E3.Stomped.Com poll weren't in vain, despite the crash and the horrible Diablo II victory afterward. John Callaham of Stomped.Com is offering a free copy of Halo, Diablo II and TeamFortress 2 to the one person who can tell him, in 25 words or less, why he or she deserves to win.
It's that time of week again. A little shy of 300 votes in last week's poll, in which people people were asked how they pronounce the word gibs :
The Electric Death, formerly known as the Blazing Electric Death Klan, notified us that their website has moved to a new location. Here's their PR: .
After all of the discussion following some statements by Joe Staten, Matt Soell clarified matters in the forum at Halo.Bungie.Org. It is not that Bungie decided to throw away large chunks of code... Halo is just a game in continual development. Anyway, go read it for yourself.
As was pointed out on the forum, www.bungie.net is hinting at a super-secret surprise project early next week. The begins with a big C think Bungie's webmokey Yeroen was hinting at recently, or perhaps something else? Hmm... something to report on next week, perhaps. Stay tuned!
Kudos to The Rock, who has transcribed and posted a portion of a post MWSF interview with Bungie's Joseph Staten, conducted by Inside Mac Games. Sadly, there's no new--wait a second, there is some new information here! Here's the interesting excerpt:
CyberBob of Halo World let us know about a new German Halo site named Planet-Halo. The owner specifies in his PR that they are not part of the GameSpy/PlanetFoo empire. Currently, they're located at http://planet-halo.splatterworld.de, but they will soon be moving to http://www.planet-halo.de. Welkommen!
