Alright, like Duvall said, he noticed the cocpits were open on the banshees on The Maw... well you have about a one in a million chance of somehow hitting them as there comin @ ya, cauzz after they pass over that little platform that apparently holds the 2 giant halves of the ship together... all hope of catching an gettin in one is lost. Im sure you can use it after you get a modchip... after my stupid grandma or someone else that doesnt kno what there doin... gets me another X Ill mod it an see what I can do w/ it.
Ive been searching that friggin level for a week now, and i can't find him! Some sites say that you have to ride into a gap in the wall to find him, but i can't even find a gap!!! sry Hellfish, i tried, i tried!!!

After the platform where it tells you to stop, there will be a slope downward and then an opening on the wall on the right. Go into the opening and go straight. If the grunt is not there check the paths to the left and right.
If you do the level AotCR go to the spot where you get the Warthog. Take out the elite driving the ghost. Try not to destroy the ghost. Take over to a marine and get out. He should get in and drive. it's weird the way that they can drive alien vehicles but not human ones. I wonder if they can drive the Banshee?
Nope, they can't drive the Banshee. In fact, the Ghost is the only vehicle they can drive. And you may notice that they have a particular interest in running you down with it :)

when the blck marine gets in the gost, it seems like he actually aims
for you. Later on when you're in the room with the bridge connecting it with hunters, he'll be sniping and he'll sometimes kill the marines and says that they were standing in his line of fire.(AotCR)

ummm NO... they shoot the covenant troops... so that means the game registers them as an eliete... they just point an shoot at ya when your in front of em while there tryin to shoot @ the covenant....
Human AI soldiers can drive the ghost because it handels like a foot-soldier. You can strafe in it and move around like if you were walking. Bungie implemented this future because it didint need a lot of programming to get it to work, that is also y that is the only vehicle they can drive (note: the ghost and the wraith are the only AI controled vehicles in the game, because they handel like that. Exept for the Banshe, which obviusly uses a totally diffrent script for the AI to use)
the marines are morons. they can only do what the programmers have told them to do. This includes running you down by accident choosing a near blown up ghost over a brand new one and shooting their own allies. They are more of a liability when playing with ghosts than they are a help.
If you play the level assult on the control room solo in the cutscene the grunt has big cheeks (on his face). If you play the same level co-op the grunt looks diferent.

Also in blood gulch ive heard and seen a video of someone getting up to sniper rock (look up near blu base) in a ghost but still cant get up. What the hell is with that?

Ive done it many times, its easy, w/ the warthog, all ya need is a grenade or 2, and w/ tha ghost, thats pretty easy, just takes a while, an that I was only able to do once :-/

I just want to say that I have used the ghost many times to get up on the cliff. Once you do it you can snipe anybody running around on the ground with ease. But the hard part is getting up there it takes a lot of practice, and you have to be linned up perfect with the cliff to do it.

In order to get the ghost up there you start by heading up the little incline that's already there (you don't need speed to do this)you then hit "a" as you reach the top of it to bounc over it, at that point look "up", and continue to hold the "a" button and stafe back and forth if you have to. The key points here are to watch what I call the seams in the rock, the lines that run straight up and down. Then after going "up" you want to head back towards the sniper spot by heading up and right, there is a dark point on the cliff (you'll know it because it's where you can't get by) at at this point hit "a" again and continue strafing up and right until you land in a crevas, at that point jump out and you will be above the sniper spot.
A couple of notes, hitting the "A" button the top of the incline, you do not want to leave the side of the cliff, most of the time, you actually want to still hit the corner because it will turn you up for you. Once you pop off, you're done.
Second, even after doing it many times, it still isn't simple. If looking at the sniper cliff, the incline is to the left a bit, and points you left, then you backtrack.

i meant is it possible with the rockets, i've been able to get it up there too by ramping it off a scorpion
PS: it is very easy to get a ghost up onto red base, one of the doors lets u drive up. doesnt work with any other doors, mitgt be the ground

Ive done it many times, its easy, w/ the warthog, all ya need is a grenade or 2, and w/ tha ghost, thats pretty easy, just takes a while, an that I was only able to do once :-/

It is possible to get to sniper rock

Once you do it you can snipe anybody running around on the ground with ease. But the hard part is getting up there it takes a lot of practice, and you have to be linned up perfect with the cliff to do it.

In reply to: Re: and when u run out of ammo out thereIn order to get the ghost up there you start by heading up the little incline that's already there (you don't need speed to do this)you then hit "a" as you reach the top of it to bounc over it, at that point look "up", and continue to hold the "a" button and stafe back and forth if you have to. The key points here are to watch what I call the seams in the rock, the lines that run straight up and down. Then after going "up" you want to head back towards the sniper spot by heading up and right, there is a dark point on the cliff (you'll know it because it's where you can't get by) at at this point hit "a" again and continue strafing up and right until you land in a crevas, at that point jump out and you will be above the sniper spot.
A couple of notes, hitting the "A" button the top of the incline, you do not want to leave the side of the cliff, most of the time, you actually want to still hit the corner because it will turn you up for you. Once you pop off, you're done.
Second, even after doing it many times, it still isn't simple. If looking at the sniper cliff, the incline is to the left a bit, and points you left, then you backtrack.

ive herd that its possible to download new maps for halo ( halo 1 ),, so i have a few questions,, and i hope i can get a honest answer,
