MTV is running a story on how the Halo 2 Council, a group of celebrities featuring members of some of the bands on the Halo 2 soundtrack (namely Incubus and Hoobastank) who are going to get Halo 2 early, as well as an item called the Halo 2 Pelican case; it's a portable Xbox inside a briefcase, with a 15" flat screen HDTV inside the lid. There are only seven of them in the world. A shame, since I think they could probably sell a boatload of 'em.
However, the more interesting parts (if you want to call them that) of that article are about the "playaz club":
Its 50 members — which include Britney Spears, Charlize Theron, Hilary Duff, Jack Osbourne, Jimmy Fallon, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg and even adult-film star Jenna Jameson — don't get a Pelican Case, hardware or an invitation to Bungie, though they will receive free games and invitations to Xbox parties and events.
"To be a member of the Playaz Club, you have to have a religious, fanatical addiction to gaming," De Leon said. "But this is Hollywood, and a lot of people think of themselves as VIPs. We had to creatively dodge some phone calls."
For my part, I hope they're going to have their own clan, so we exactly how fanatical their addiction to gaming is. :)

How about the community comes together to form a special clan for the purposes of playing on XBL against the playaz club?
I bet that would be popular.
