Will halo2 use microphone headsets like the ones used on XBOX Live? It would be Sweet if they incorporated it into gameplay like maby a comm tower on multiplayer boards where you could deactivate communication or listen in or something.

There's been no official announcement about it, but I would guess that it would. Halo 1 came out before XBL was ready, so having voice comm supported by it was simply out of the question.

With XBL up and running with many games supporting voice, I can't imagine why Halo 2 wouldn't. If it doesn't, I expect the explanation for why not will be complicated and yet not persuasive.

In reply to: Probably

Halo 2 will have voice communication because all Xbox Live titles are required to have voice communication. So, if it is Live enabled, it will have voice.

Even though Halo2 Should have all of the works It is possible that Bungie has decided not to do so. The fact that all Xbox games are supposed to be XBL compatable Is strictly a myth.

Bungie has already said that Halo 2 will be XBL-enabled.

When the "Halo 1.5" rumor came out awhile back, Matt Soell (then Bungie Community Guy) answered thusly:

"We will not release a Halo game with explicit support for the Xbox Live network until Halo 2 ships."

You can see that on Bungie net here, at the Bungie Rumor Control page:

http://www.bungie.net/perlbin/blam.pl?file=/site/0/databases/view_databa...

I've honestly not seen it written anywhere that all XBL-enabled games must support all XBL features, including voice. But Bungie has said in the past that Halo 2 will support XBL. The first game didn't because XBL wasn't ready then.

U said that bungie did not use headset cause xbl live was not available yet. Knowing bungie (or hope i know them) i think that they will want to use this tool in a innovative way use the maximum possibilities this thing can do such as in one player mission, give order to marines to move next to a thing or other thing like throw a frag like in rainbow six 3 (i thing the chief in the demo give a marine the order to throw a frag after bombarding the big plasma bomber or thing like that in the dark places fill with covies) or tell to a longsword fighter to bomb an area like the general do to blow that thing !(it can be nice) In multiplayer(xbl) they could use it as a thing to: First, contact your team and make strategies, it could be good if we can talk to 1 person at time or all your team Second, allow u to call help from marine that i hope will be in multiplayer to give some additional action.
please give your idea somebody important could read it and take hint to make halo2
