Microsoft Drops More Halo 3 Hints

Eurogamer has a story quoting Shane Kim at Microsoft Game Studios that the Xbox's most popular franchises, including Halo, Fable amd Project Gotham Racing, will be making their way onto the next console:

"Without giving away all the surprises we have in store, gamers that love franchises like Halo, Fable, and Project Gotham Racing can safely assume we will continue to invest in them as we move into the next generation."

The article goes on to speculate that sequels to Halo 2 and Fable would not likely be launch titles given that those studios just completed their last games in late 2004.

WOW! halo3, I can't wate! I really think they should have a level were you have to be the one of the flood,and have the objective to take over one of the marines ships. I also think that on halo3 they should have a new species of alien evolve in the picture that way instead of just fighting the jackels,elites,grunts,brutes,hunters,and the flood, they should have a species of aliens come from the third halo3 ring.That way you"ll not only be fighting the jackels,elites,grunts,brutes,hunters,and the flood, but also continue fighting them along with another race of aliens

Next moron who posts "my dad works for Bungie" on this site is going to get banned permanently. You can count the number of fathers at Bungie on one hand, and the number with progeny of typing age is even smaller.

In other words, if this were true-- which is isn't-- it would be trivial for the dad in question to find out exactly who was posting such secret information on a site where it would quite obviously be found.

I heard from ign.com that bungie and microsoft are working on halo 3. They say it will be planned to be released when the ps3 comes out. Although this seems plausable but to soon for me.

I am very sure that Halo 3 will be ready for Xbox 2. You see, the cuts in Halo 2 are of such significanse, Next to Halo 1, also, that I am sure that they transferred the whole Halo to Halo 3 altogether to the Real Halo 2. NomadWarrior (Yes, I know I am not logged in!)

Lots of people are predicting this mostly because it's what they want to see happen. The fact is, no matter how much was cut from Halo 2 for it to ship on time, there's still no way Halo 3 can be ready this year.

Yeah I agree with narcogen. Even Bungie cant just whip together a game in a few months. It takes years. Remember how long it took them to make Halo 2? It took them too long to make halo 2... The game is great but they make movies in less time then that... Now they have time to make maps and updates instead of working on Halo 3? Also, the way Halo 2 ended ( the campaign) There is a need for an almost immediate sequel. I can't see 360 launching without something to do with Halo. However, speculation is pointless considering we will never know until the info is released. Adios all, Jester

the longer it takes them for halo 3 to come out the BETTER 1. because they will spend way more time on it, perfecting it. and 2. think of the publicity. halo 2 took that long to come out, and it had people camping outside of best buy. think about it, it makes sence. if it came out even this year, that would be retarded. give them time. i (and you too) want halo 3 perfected, so dont be a moronic idiot and keep bugging them to make halo 3 fast fast fast.

Yes I totally agree. People are begging for Halo 3 when Halo 2 is barely half a year old. Seriously people, do you have any idea how much designing, code, testing, etc. is involved with making games like Halo? It's no walk in the park. If you haven't realized, Bungie is still perfecting Halo 2 by giving us all these nice downloads and ranking systems to help us have more fun.
