Brute shot and Grunt lines
I've not been following the Reach build-up very closely but I listened to all of the podcast aside from the spoiler section near the end, and the thing I'm most encouraged to hear is the vote of confidence on the replayability level of the campaign. And evidently the campaign had quite some effect on Louis for him to pronounce it his favourite in the franchise so far, even including the original! I do have a few specific questions though, for anyone who's played enough of the game to be able to respond.
Firstly, is the Brute shot in the game, or has it been dropped? I can't recall seeing it in any advance footage or anything. If I understand correctly, Brutes aren't such a presence in this game, so I guess that could be a reason for its absence. But for me it was one of the best things about Halo 3, so I'd be sorry to lose it.
Secondly, is it true that the Grunts no longer deliver funny lines in English? Obviously that would be quite a break with tradition. I never liked Elites talking English as it was such a big change to their character and made them way too human-like for my tastes, but with the Grunts it was always different as they were so funny and, well, they were like that from day one. So if the Grunts don't do lines in English any more, what are they like now? More serious, less comical?

In reply to: Brute shot and Grunt linesI guess we should state that these comments will be spoiler-laden. Though really I think your first question has been known for a while...
No brute shot. The replacement is the 'nade launcher.
Elites are just back to their alien speak and grunts do say funny things in english. But honestly I wasn't paying that much attention to that aspect of the game for some weird reason (probably trying to stay alive!) so don't hold me to it. :)
