According to Oni Central, Max Hoberman (Bungie's Yeroen) has stated that Oni has gone beta. Jackolantern posted to our forum pointing out an IMG article on the nearness of a beta, and the creation of a number of Microsoft newsgroups for the use of Oni beta-testers, but this is the first confirmation we've heard that a beta is actually in existence.

Update: An anonymous source pointed out that he/she/it has signed and sent in an NDA to Microsoft, suggesting that we not only have a beta occuring, but that it's an external one to boot. Interesting note from the NDA itself: Oni is referred to as a Microsoft product. Curiouser and curiouser...
