Nifty! Kudos to Char, who pointed out an article at Stomped regarding a three part comic series based on Oni, to be published by Dark Horse in Spring 2001. Several interesting details to be had, particularily with respect to the storyline, but here's a slightly more on topic snippet:

Stomped: Why do you believe Oni will be a good basis for a comic?

Land: Konoko is a hottie and she kicks butt! That's one reason. I guess the other reasons are somewhat similar. It's set in a cool environment and deals with themes that can really be expanded upon outside of a video game. Plus it's got ROBOTS!

Heh. If robots alone don't turn your crank, the suggested storyline just might... one wonders if and to what degree it reflects the storyline for the actual game. Definitely worth checking out.
