Dual Swords Hack for Xbox Halo 2
Several posters have professed doubt about this image. It was not, to the best of our knowledge, produced in photoshop or edited in any misleading way.
The hack in question is achieved, generally speaking, by using a modchip to allow users to connect to their Xbox's hard drives using an ordinary Windows PC, edit the cached map files that Halo 2 (like Halo 1 before it) keeps on the Xbox's hard drive, and then running the game with those edited map caches.
In this case, the mod author swapped the model of one weapon, the plasma sword, for another weapon, the plasma rifle, to get around the engine's definition of the sword as a non-dual-wieldable weapon.
This is one of the more trivial kinds of hacks that have been performed using Halo or Halo 2 on the Xbox; others have included a pilotable dropship and Pelican and a flying warthog.

I've played Halo 2 and (unfortunately) I fuond that (sniff) you cannot duel-wield plasma swords.

You can't duel weild those swords. I've played through halo 2 and it is just impossible(there are no cheats for halo or halo2. So i doubt that you can haave dual swords and that picture is a setup!

This wasn't done in photoshop. It was done by hex editing map cache files-- the same way Halo 1 on the xbox was originally modified to allow players to fly warthogs and pelicans, or to change the behavior of many other things in the game.
It requires a modchip and a way to upload and download the files from the Xbox.
I'm not putting detailed information up on how to do it here, but sufficed to say, this isn't a photoshop hack.

LOOOOL u guys are so stupid.. look at the damn picture... its not hacking... its nothing but coping and pasting. look here.. u knw when you hold ONE sword ur left hand sticks out .. like imagine the left hand without a sword.. see how it sticks out... hes not clutching it like the one on the right.... so obviously he took a picture and pasted another on on there and if u look up on the wepons on the top right corner it shows his second weapon as a plasma pistol.

Most weapon mods like this are made by replacing one weapon with another. Since the game normally won't let you hold two swords, it was done by replacing another weapon's slot with a sword-- hence the different hand position and the lack of a lefthand weapon indicator.
If you want to believe it's a photoshop hack-- please be my guest. I didn't do the mod, so it doesn't really matter to me. However, much more than this was done on the Xbox with the original Halo game, and I expect much more will be done in the near future. It's possible-- players have been doing it for years. Check Google and you'll even find out how this mod was done.

It was just done with a modded Xbox. Whoever took the image linked it up to their PC with an FTP client and swapped hex values for the second weapon.
The reason you see the plasma weapon icon above is probably just because either they didn't swap that either or the game wasn't made to identify a plasma sword as ta weapon that can be dual-weilded.

There are whole sites devoted to Halo and Halo 2 mods that have been doing and discussing Halo 2 mods now since the French leak-- and real H2 mods have existed since before the official release.
If you want to believe it's fake-- go right ahead. If you want to see how it was done and by who, check the forum thread the original story item links to, or just google it. It isn't hard to find. However, making mods like this to Xbox games, while non-trivial, is hardly impossible, and swapping weapon models is one of the easiest-- which is why this was one of the first mods made.

Read the damn thread, this is already answered elsewhere. The mod is achieved by replacing the model of one weapon with that of another. The modder didn't bother to change the weapon's indicator in the hud because it isn't necessary.

you can't duel weild with a sword there is just noway, unless of cours ur a hacker.what i'm saying is that if you have one sword then you still can't duel weild with a gun. And the way the guy's hand is in that picture just spells out FAKE, because his hand is the way it is normaly when u have a sword. My little cousin even thinks it's "FAKE".
