I know it is a weird possibility but i just cant stop thinking about the fact that humans and elites might be allied up in halo 3. It would be one less enemy to worry about. but i think it would take a little of the fun out of the game...just a little. because think about it they do make good target practice and they are fun to sneek up behind and BASH their skull in.But if they even do end up on the home team what would replace them on the bad side? In halo 2 there are HUNTERS GRUNTS,ELITES and humans that are in conflict with the BURTES,JACKLESand the DRONES. my personal opinion is that the bad guys need a super soldier of there own. like a brute with physical augmentations and a suit of battle armor that would make them ALMOST undefeatable. Even if we dont get allies i dont think the elites will be a problem any more. p.s. if you have any comments or any suggestions please write them to me. and remember these are just my opinions

I am assuming that the covenant are going to find more species to join them, and besides the brutes are a pretty big problem as well also the prophets have the power with all there technologie, i mean if the elites quit the covenant they wouldn't get any supplies from them...

In reply to: The elites joining the humans

It seems to me unlikely that any group calling itself "covenant" can possibly escape whatever the following events in the story are.

Truth says that the "great journey" will begin, sweeping all the faithful into heaven, more or less. If he's right, the Covenant won't be left around at all.

If he's wrong, as we believe, and the Halo just kills everybody-- then it also seems to me that the Covenant won't survive (all its members being rather dead).

Given that we've already seen the Elites split off as a result of their betrayal by the Prophets, with the help of the Brutes, it seems to me that should Master Chief and the humans be successful in stopping the Halos from being fired, this will probably result in the revelation of the Prophets' lies (or errors) and further disintegrate the Covenant.

Win or lose, I think there won't be a "Covenant" any more.

I think what could happen is some elite, grunts, and hunters would be on the human's side, and some would still be on the covenant's side. In Halo 2, did the Arbiter kill ALL the heritics, or only some? If only some, what if the heritics also join up on the human's side?

Whatever Heretics were left alive on the station were almost certainly killed after we dropped it into the atmosphere before escaping in Tartarus' Phantom.

i think that the elites will split into two groups- one that sticks with the covenant and another that sides with the humans, this way you get the best of both worlds, you get tfight with elites just like in halo 2 and you still get to beat thier asses to a pulp!!!!

ive been thinking the same thing for a long time and it might be cool if huumans on there made big leaps in improving on covenant technology ,like from the books when cortana made their cannons into disectiong lasers
