Heh, that sounds almost sad. ;-) However... go and take a look at Bungie.Com. Aaaaand.... Go take a look at the Halo site! Aaaaand, as rumored earlier (see below) they've got new versions of the Gamestock footage, as well as two new screenshots, up for download! W00!
Just a quick heads-up to remind you that the Game Developer Conference begins tomorrow and will be going on until the 24th. Bungie isn't particularly represented, itself, except indirectly through Jason Allard and Seamus Blackley on the Xbox. Still, it should be interesting to watch and we may possibly get a new tidbit or two. Stay tuned.
The good people of halo.bungie.org sent Matt Soell a set of Gamestock followup questions, and his reply was prompt, clear and free of references to anyone's mother. This is a must-read--he touches on almost all the issues of greatest concern to those who watched the Gamestock footage and read the reviews--and he's agreed to a possible second round of questions. So get on over to HBO, figure out what you still want to know after reading Matt's answers, and send your questions to the link provided there.
We're just a smidge late in reporting on this, but Mark Diller informed us of an Xbox article that was in the Seattle Times. The article included this image of Marcus Lehto, David Dunn, Rob McLees, and Mat Noguchi sitting in front of what appears to be Halo. Are they actually playing or just posing with a static screen?
We would have told you earlier, but what with the moon's orbit decaying and our having to sally forth into space and destroy the evil Emperor Ming...well, you know. We've been busy.
Matt reassured those who contributed maps to the Total Codex that they'd still be getting their free copies of Oni and Halo, and nobly blamed himself for the delay. No, this isn't really relevant news to most of you readers, but it's worth it for that warm, fuzzy feeling. :-) Anyway, you'll find his post below.
Them hbo guys noticed Matt Soell (gotta remember to include his surname now) sketching out his current projects on their forum. The list is appetizing:
I'm working on some stuff for the relaunch of bungie.com, doing preliminary work for the next FanFest, meeting with various folks about various Halo-related things (websites, merchandise, etc.), and doing some other stuff that's still a secret. :-)
