You know when you play halo and when your about to start the game it shows who is on what box and the xbox has a name my friend knew how to change it but he moved and we dont talk any more does any one in here know how?? plus the name of my friends xbox is cupid hehehe i feel sorry for him and he wants to know how to change it somone tell me please.

i don't think you can change the name, but my box has a different name each time i play multi, and by the road, who cares what name you're xbox has, i just call the thing xbox, and that's a pretty fine name...i think.

I had the same problem before
I had the same problem before. The only way i know how to change it is to play survival mode on dead or alive 3. when you get on the top scores list the name you enter is the name that will be on your xbox in halo.

You can't. Halo doesn't have this feature. An xbox hacker might be able to do that, but if you can't even buy a copy of DOA or any of the other games that allow Xbox renaming, my guess is that cracking open your case and fiddling with the parts probably isn't an option.
Not to mention not a good idea anyway.

I'd reccomend just renting the damn games mentioned to re-name it. In Dead Or Alive 3, you just go to 'survival mode' and beat the players...(it's not hard) then you can save your name for your score...blam you are done.
I bought the damn game just so I could re-name my damn x-box. I am not a 'weasel'. Fuckin' microshaft...

There is another way to change your x-box name...i never played doa3 nor Wolfenstein and i was able to change it. I added a memory card, then changed it's name. The xbox took the same name as the memory card. Also, a friend of mine changed it without me noticing, and he didn't use any game or mem card, dunno how he did tho:S

Yo you can also use Project Gothem Racing to do it... When you first start out. It will ask for your name, thats how my friend did it =) He won't let me fooking borrow the game to change my xbox's name, and its grumpy... sigh..

Ok, this is what you do. Buy Dead or Alive 3 for Xbox. Pop it in, go to survival mode, do the best you can, when you get to the screen where you enter your "name", enter what you want your Xbox to be named, so you would probably click on "New Name". Anyways, if you pop Halo in and go look at you Xbox name in the start of a game or in system link mode, it should be what you named you Xbox in DOA3.
