Don't worry about it, I got the soundtrack from disc and I was in a bad mood that night, but still it was pretty annoying.
But yeah just let this thread die now ok?

Re: Sheet Music Problems
Where are you getting these names from??
These are the correct titles for the tracks on the Halo 3 Original Soundtrack.

I think he means the movement list. Marty published a list of themes, and each track on the soundtrack is one or more themes.
Even then, though, I think he's wrong. I don't see the entries he's referring to.
Re: Sheet Music Problems
Oh ok, I see. I've never seen that sheet.

These are the correct titles for the tracks on the Halo 3 Original Soundtrack.
Look, if you get one file from the Halo 3 soundtrack it goes as follows:
Halo 3/Sierra 117. Realeased/Wild Life/Another Walk
How can you not understand it?
Re: Sheet Music Problems
Sorry, mine doesn't have any of that. I think Narcogen is right, either that or some soundtracks are differnt.??

Get one file from where? The official version sold in iTunes and the CD version don't have any such track names. They don't mention level names-- anywhere.
Where are you getting your track names? Where did you get your copy of the Soundtrack?

Did you add the level names, or did you import from CD like that? My tracks are straight from iTunes and they don't include level names, only track names.

Here's my track listing:

Extended track lists
Before the soundtrack was out, either Marty or Niles Rodgers published a track list that included the names of individual movements within each piece. I can't locate that list now, but the track listings for the soundtrack at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com both include them.
Transcriptions here do not include them because at least one common and official source for the soundtrack, the iTunes store, does not include them. Unless every user manually subdivided their files, or manually annotated the tracks with the movement names, those names don't mean anything to most people and therefore aren't helpful in locating tracks. In fact, if you refer to them solely by the movement name and without the name of the master track, it'd be actually making it harder for people to know what track you're talking about.

However, the only place I've seen where the actual files themselves are labeled this way is... well, torrent sites.
You wouldn't have downloaded your soundtrack from a torrent site, would you, jedi?

Re: Extended track lists
That's very interesting...
I suppose that maybe they put out a second release with the updated track list (I ordered mine the moment it was released). Now all the n00bs who get the soundtrack now have those titles?
I actually like the new titles, I wish all the Soundtrack copies were titled like that, because there are sometimes multiple movements to a song that I wish I had known the specific name to.
Thanks for figuring this out Narc.
*Oh and yes, I did import the tracks directly from my CD in that screenshot -that's how it is for me.
Re: Extended track lists
Actually what they need to do is have iTunes plus sell not only uncompressed, higher bitrate files, but sell them in MP4 format so we can get metadata. Right now I think there's no way for a single MP3 file to have different titles by section-- but you CAN do that with MP4s.
