I'm come to you, the Halo gaming community, with a vastly important question!!
When it comes to Halo, or other games, what is your mouse of choice?

Sure, anything may be used for every other form of computer use, that's a matter of preference. But when it comes to the "mouse skilz" and trigger fingers of the gaming world, what do you find are the mice best suited for you, and the ones least suited?

Currently I like trackballs, yet my trackball has been dead for almost a year now, and I'm back to using a mouse. I like mice, what can I say. But the move into college, on the road life, and the multi use of my soon to arrive computer (an Apple 15.2"TFT Powerbook 1.25ghz G4 dvd burner 80 gigs and 512RAM if anyone cares...), I'm liking the idea of the small trackballs (think golf ball not baseball). But, how do these small trackballs hold up in FPS gaming such as Halo? Do they cover a screen in a spit second with the roll of a finger?

So do you guys have an opinion on the BEST type of mouse? Or would anyone like to rant on the WORST type of mouse? :D

Thanks guys,

Earendil

I haven't used a trackball much since my Powerbook Duo gave up the ghost several years ago. Right now I use a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer Optical, and I like it just fine. I've heard about so-called "gaming mice" like the Boomslang, but I haven't actually used one.
