Destiny 1's last live event and update features a new record book and a new quest from the Speaker.
The Daily Heroic story mission has been replaced by the Weekly Heroic Story Playlist. Each week features story missions selected at random with a common theme. For the first week, the theme was missions that take place either on Earth or on the Moon.
We're playing the story missions of Bungie's latest expansion to Destiny, Rise of Iron!
The final part of the Thorn bounty is the new SIVAfied moon strike, Abomination Heist. CougRon joins us to help get it done!
Blackstar and Narcogen braved the server queue at launch to play the new Destiny content. We'll do all the story missions, quests and new strikes, and then take a break to level up to prepare for the raid.
Blackstar and Narcogen visit the Tower in Destiny, but something feels a little different... because we're in Destiny on the Crucible Minecraft server!
Infered5 posted about it last week on the Destiny subreddit so I thought we would have a look.
You can get the details from the server's web page, here:
Right now the Tower, the Reef, a big chunk of the Cosmodrome and some of the Moon are already in the game, as well as certain Hive and Fallen enemies and 40 or so weapons. There's glimmer to gather and engrams to decode!
Note: we have added some music and sound effects from the game to enhance your viewing experience; these are not present on the server as the game is running vanilla Minecraft 1.8.8 on a server with certain plugins and a custom texture pack, but no client-side mods.
Destiny's April Update brings a new questline from Variks and Eris as the Taken Prince Malok tries to assume dead Oryx's powers. This episode includes the Pretender To The Throne story mission, collection quest, the Blighted Chalice strike, a guest appearance by One One Seven and Vault of Farce webcomic author Stuntmutt and bonus Yoda jokes.
On Narcogen's birthday, a special Gunsmith quest opened for those who have already collected four Dark Age relics and turned them in to Banshee. The reward? The heavy fusion rifle, Sleeper Simulant. This video shows each step of the process, including the missions, the public events, and the final level 280 strike.
Special thanks to CougRon, ChrisTheeCrappy, Freew1ll and Louis Wu for helping me get this great gun!
It's a symphony of death and revival as Blackstar, Narcogen and Funkmon do battle against a Wolf Walker tank inside a Fallen Ketch. Also there's this Taniks guy.
This week's Nightfall Strike is The Shadow Thief.

Destiny's 1.2 patch is live with lots of changes, large and small, including some preliminary Queen's Wrath bounties to get us ready for the full launch of the House of Wolves expansion this week. We take on the next few of these.
In this episode we revisit the starting area of the Cosmodrome and discover the Fallen have moved back in with some of their new toys, as well as a new Ghost. Then we go back to Venus take on Beltrik the Veiled again (but we did that just for the experience, so it don't count) and then on to the Moon to face down Saviks, Queenbreaker.
Our sherpa, Speedracer513, switches us from the stairway stragety to the window ledge strategy while Narcogen learns left from right, painfully.
