Destiny's biggest McGuffin is the Traveler-- a mysterious alien artifact that, unlike Halo, seems bent on our protection rather than our destruction-- which makes it no less mysterious.

An interesting mix of structures here. In the background left and foreground right, one can see towers on which appear to be mounted lights, like stadium lights. The other tall objects could be construction cranes.

In the background on the right is a smooth structures that looks very Forerunner-like, quite a bit like the beam towers seen on Halo installations.

This may very well end up being a representation of Destiny's equivalent of Mass Effect's galaxy map-- a not-to-scale representation of humanity's home solar system, with major Destinations here visible: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. Bungie's current development efforts apparently center around small teams organized around different Destinations.
