No, not the release of Halo on the Mac and PC, although that will still happen.

MACWORLD EXPO, NEW YORK CITY--July 21, 1999--Today Bungie Software announces Halo, a game that shatters the confines of typical game environments. Halo is a third-person perspective, sci-fi action epic that takes place indoors, outdoors, in the sky and beneath the surface of a world of astonishing realism and visual impact. Halo was unveiled this morning in Steve Jobs' keynote address to the Macworld Expo.

Direct from the keynote webcast comes the long awaited announcement, and the beginning of something new (or the continuation of something great).

In a demonstration that (despite the two interruptions, 2 fps, and the fact that I'd managed to see it before) floored me, Bungie's Jason Jones unveiled Halo, their new in development game. Halo, nee Blam.

After a lengthly design phase, the Core is finally online. And there was much rejoicing.

The first of it's kind (I think), the Core is/will be a news and resource site following and reporting on Bungie's new game, Blam. Currently in development, Blam has not yet been officially announced--we're here to cover the development and that eventual announcement, as well as the life of the game following release (and maybe even a sequel! ;).
