News outlets seem continually amazed at the turnout to pick up Halo 2 at midnight launches around the country.

Over at Sector 7, Fusion is promising coverage from Times Square soon, and Shadow points out his chance to do his bit for Bungie by offering his own personal Xbox as a demo machine to his local Gamestop in Washington state.

Several posters in the Bungie.net forums are warning that they received empty boxes with no Halo 2 game inside, especially when purchasing Limited Editions. This is probably because some game stores removed the disc from the case for security purposes. If your box isn't shrinkwrapped when you get it, check before you leave the store to make sure the game is inside!

Coke points out on IRC that it looks like the Bungie.net forums have been reorganized. Additional Halo 2 forums have been added: Zanzibar for multiplayer discussions, OptiMatch for matchmaking discussions.

Evil Avatar wants to know if Halo 2 is "really that good". Go tell 'em.
