Indeed, Ferrex did overwrite a news item I posted yesterday. Worry not, a beating has been scheduled for him. Here it is again...

As we already know, blam was not announced at E3. However, it was shown behind closed doors to certain parties. The E3 Coverage at MacNN (courtesy of MGL) sheds some light on who these parties are:

game:

Arrrgh, I think I may've overwrote Malory earlier this evening, because Halam is crediting us with uncovering this tidbit, even though I haven't seen anything of it before Mojo posted on it.

Anyway, Mac Gamer's Ledge had a few notes about Blam (and Oni) in their E3 coverage. About the only piece of really interesting info is that Blam is an action title being developed by a team headed by (no surprise) Jones.

game:

Still not Blam news, but it's noteworthy, and I did report on it yesterday... in a thread at the Townhall's Community Forum, TychoMax reports mutiny within the MaraMyth team, while other members rebut that claim. Worth checking out if you're watching the Myth to Marathon conversion scene.

Well, nobody was expecting a lot of news, were they? Forum is reportedly fixed, poll is going rather nicely, another article for the Database is in the works... slow day on the news front.

I know it says News and Rumors at the top of the page, but I'm no good at breeding rumors or hype... join us in praying for an imminent announcement. ;)

game:
  • Halam (again in the news) is boasting some content now, including some news and a theories section.
  • Another bout of quirky server syndrome at Marathon's Story... use the bungie.org mirror in the meantime.
game:

It's not as ugly as it sounds. After a half week run, the Poll has been updated with a new question, and the results from the prior poll have been dissected and posted on our Polls page. The results weren't awfully surprising, but there was some interesting stuff in there... check it out, and offer your own thoughts on our analysis.

As for the new poll, all votes are welcome, and we'll probably close this one Thursday morning. Get those votes in, and thanks to everyone who voted on the last one.

game:

Kudos to Carch, who pointed out a disgustingly obvious bug with the Forum HTML that may've been responsible for the black text/white background bug some users on IE/Win98 reported.

If you happen to be one of those users, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could take a look and tell me if it's really fixed... and if not, back to the bug hunt.

game:

I know it's not Blam news, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. The Townhall is reporting that the MaraMyth (Myth II with Marathon units) Demo has been released. They've posted more specifics, but suffice it to say that the Mill and Baron's Keep should have it posted shortly. Myth and Marathon fans alike should take a look at this one.

  • Halam has returned, bringing us back to three Blam sites... and it's got some content, too (just look really hard... you'll see it).
game:

Just the straight up truth. Not even a lot happening in the Myth community today, news-wise...

Ah well. The poll is doing very well, with just over 200 votes at last check, and a few bugs were evicted from the forum (though a particularily nasty one involving IE on Win98 remains... any help fixing this one would be greatly appreciated). News archive and some articles for the Database are on the to do list too.
