There are 10 levels in all.

My personal favorites are "Assault on the Control Room", "Silent Cartographer", "343 Guilty Spark" and "Two Betrayals".

I also like the first part of "Truth and Reconciliation" and the end of "The Maw" (engine room).

Don't much care for "The Library". "Halo" is pretty good (lvl 2).

In order of favourites (Least - Most)

10th, The Library

Do I really need to say why…oh ok then, repetitive with mindless enemies.
Sorry ferrex.

9th, Halo

I like the size of this level, but it does not have a lot within it if you know what I mean, its just driving around trying to save marines. Maybe its because I like the hiding around corners gaming style which this level lacks.

8th, 343 Guilty Spark

I like the beginning of this level when you’re in a jungle environment but then it goes downhill when you encounter the flood, but still the atmosphere is very good.

7th, The Maw

Great ending to this level, very different to the rest of the game and highly enjoyable. I like the mix of covenant and flood within a contained area that we are familiar with from the first level, and the engine room is a nice touch if a bit easy when you know what to do.

6th, Keys

I am a big fan of hide and seek type killing (as mentioned above) and this level has some great parts where you have to be on your toes, especially as the special ops covenant are running around all over the place.

5th, The Pillar of Autumn

The perfect starting level to this game. I love levels with marines and this one has loads to help you with their comic relief comments. This would have been more of a favourite but over playing due to Haliens has spoiled it slightly…but only slightly

4th, Truth and Reconciliation

In all my first person shooter games my best weapon is the sniper rifle, and this level is made for it! I constantly find myself returning to play this level to try and complete the entire first part without being spotted too much.
Inside the ship is quite nice too, some parts are better than others. The first docking bay is a good challenge.

3rd, The Silent Cartographer

An interactive intro is such a cool idea even if it is just being able to look around. It is my favourite of all the game.
But as soon as its over your dropped straight into battle and then given a warthog to burn around the island with your marines gunning down everything in your path. And when you enter the island a nice enclosed area to show what the master chief is all about.

2nd, Two Betrayals

Another nice big level that (surprising myself) wouldn’t be as good if the flood wasn’t around. The three way battles that occur in this level between the Covenant, the Flood and the Sentinels are quite amazing to fight in, and the variety of vehicles you can use makes it all that more fun. I would like to see more of this kind of level in Halo 2.

And in 1st place…… surprise surprise, Assault on the Control Room

This Level combines large outdoor areas, which I love with great indoor areas, which I love and lots of marines, which I love.
It has the added bonus of all the vehicles that you can use to there full potential, as there are marines about to assist you. I can play this level over and over and over…..which I do.

"The Pillar of Autumn" has got to be the sweetest level. Hundreds of mindless ( even in legendary) Covie troops just waiting to find a plasma grenade stuck to their butts.
