Well, I must be missing something. Near the end of the game (I think), it puts you on a timer, you must get in the 4 wheeler and eventually make a major jump (after the dropshop ends up not being able to pick you up). No matter how far I back up and no matter how fast I am going, I cannot seem to make the jump!

Am I missing anything? I have tried at least 20 times already and it is starting to make the game 'no fun' because I just can't seem to get past this jump. When I miss the jump, it looks like there is another ramp below, but I always seem to die, whether I stay in the 4 wheeler or not...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I'm not familiar with the message format here so I apologize if someone has already answered this for you. The first jump you miss is actually impossible to make. It looks like you can but you never will. Hit it as straight and fast as possible and you'll fall ending up in the bottom of a dip. Straighten it up if you need to and hit it and you'll hit a second jump that you can clear. At this point you're really close to the end. I won't tell you any more :-)

BTW, how low is your health? I don't recall right now but I think it's inevitable that you take a small bit of damage. It might be that you're too low on sheil & health when you try to make it. A hint: when Cortana calls for y ou to wait for Foehammer near the end blow on past. You can gain a few seconds toward the end goal this way which can make the difference.

In reply to: Jump near end (spoiler)

I hope this isn't raining on anyone's parade, but not only is it possible to make the jump, (you'll fall about a hundred stories before you get to the lower ramp, but just focus on following moopus's directions and you'll make it) but it is also possible to do some incredible spins off the ramp. I have found that the most successful method of performing such a trick is to aim just a little bit to the left or right of center, and then cranking the wheel hard to the opposite direction so that by the end of the ramp one will be skidding sideways.
However, I have never done a spin and landed in the right direction. I usually land on the tall walls on the side of the receiving ramp, although I have managed to land exactly on the storage-tank-like thingies on the roof of the receiving ramp and gotten the warthog stuck (though not for long, thankfully, as I still had 4-4 grenades and a rocket launcher). Once, I landed exactly right, meaning as you would have landed if you had taken the jump like you're supposed to, except I was backwards.

cheers.

At the very end, of course, you must get out of the warthog. (You didn't expect to leave Halo on wheels, did you?) However, given an adequate supply of grenades and rockets, you can blast the warthog over any barriers and drive it a little bit farther than you are supposed to, which provides a really neat opportunity to explore a strangely familiar room... Really too bad you're not allowed in there without the time limit.
