narcogen; you apparently don't know who I am talking about. the prophets and Halo have nothing to do with myth or marathon or any other bungie game out there. the Covenant prophets are the covenants religous leaders. I am saying that the forerunners are the past Prophets. If you don't know who the Prophets are or what they look like, you are stupid. A pic of them is in this months EGM magazine. The past Prophets wanted The Halo's built to honor there God(s). When they found the flood they sent is a strike team of High ranking elites to conrtain and study them (that explains the Holy symbols on the back of light blue and golden elites armor) the forerunners ordered that all Halo's must be equiped with a defence system that eliminates all life in the galaxy(they figured out how the flood can be destroyed). That's when 343 comes in, he was designed to monitor installation 04; the forth Halo, which is the one master cheif goes on. The past prophets are the forerunners.

I'm exactly aware of who the Prophets are, and like everybody here I've seen that issue. I honestly don't see what they look like has anything to do with your theory-- and that's all it is-- that the Prophets are/were Forerunners.

As for the Prophets building the Halos-- there's absolutely no information from any source to suggest it, again, that's just your theory, which you are more than welcome to. But those who don't agree with it (and, actually, I didn't disagree with it, I said it was likely and fit into a pattern that Bungie has used before in previous games) are also welcome to theirs.

Just in case you don't know, there has been a long standing discussion about links between the Marathon universe and the Halo universe, so it's a natural comparison to make.

Again, you've got an interesting theory-- but so does just about everyone here or at HBO, and I hardly see how making a positive comment about it relating to Marathon should provoke you into calling anybody stupid.
