I have been working on ideas for starting a Halo "league". (Of course on xbox live & 11-9-04) My original idea was to start a clan, but whats the point in clans? All clans have been are a group to claim after you beat someone. My idea is to combine Halo with a pro sports style season. We will set the season length and we will be holding out "events" every sunday evening. After the conclusion of the seasons length the top people will go on to the "playoffs" and will play until there is a champion. I thought I'd share my ideas and see what everyone thought and if anyone would be into participating in the "league". This will give people the want to compete and to be the best. So please give me some feedback let me know what you think, suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Don't put down the clan idea just yet. This isn't going to be done the way clans are in other games, like PC shooters. Wait and see. This is going to be integrated into the way Halo 2 works on XBL, and into Bungie.net, including statistics. If for no other reason, you'll want your league teams to be organized into Halo 2 clans to keep track of stats and verify the results of matches.
Also, I strongly suspect that there will be various ways to introduce events of this type between clans using the Bungie.net site... Support for clans in H2 is going to be official, and if the way Orders were managed in Myth are any indication, are definitely going to be something your league will need.

Well, if i were 2 join the league...would i be able 2 use an elite???..i pre-orderd HALO 2 8 months ago....im missing my day off high school on November 9th 2 play HALO 2 all day!....well if anyone could please comment back....is this league only 4 spartan players or elites too???...please respond...thank u....if u wanna reach me...my E-mail is White_falcon14@hotmail.com.....i get tired of beating the original HALO on legandary by myself...i need a better challenge w/ more ppl and new enemies...thank you....

In reply to: I like the idea of this "League"There is no functional difference between the Elite and Spartan models, so there should be no such restrictions. Members of any clan should, most likely, to be use whichever model they prefer in any particular match.
